Method
Mix together. Sponge onto the stain from the outside in, leave 10 minutes, then blot dry with a fresh cloth. Never mix vinegar with peroxide or bleach.
Final flush & wash
Rinse the treatment out from the back with cold water. Wash on the care-label setting, then air-dry and check in daylight before any tumble-drying β heat sets whatever is left.
Why this one's tricky
Tomato sauce and curry are two stains in one: oil from the sauce, and strong pigments (lycopene in tomato, curcumin in turmeric). Heat sets both. Scoop off what you can, rinse from the back with cold water, then use dish soap and white vinegar. Turmeric yellow can be stubborn; drying the garment in direct sunlight genuinely helps fade it. Keep it away from the dryer until the color has gone.
Phase 2: Deep restoration
If a faint shadow remains after the initial rinse, or for fabrics that cannot tolerate water agitation:
Residual ghost-ring or dry-clean-only fiber?
Normal washing often won't shift the last trace of a set-in stain. Treat it with a targeted spotter before it goes anywhere near dryer heat β heat locks in whatever is left.
