Affiliate disclosure
Last updated: October 7, 2026
SpotZero is free to use. It is paid for by affiliate commissions, and possibly by clearly labelled advertising in future. This page explains exactly how that works and how we keep it from influencing our advice.
Who we are
SpotZero is operated by DB Digital Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17189210), registered office 38b Manchester Road, Oldham, OL3 7HQ, United Kingdom. You can contact us at support@spotzero.app.
Editorial independence
Every protocol is written to get the stain out safely with the least risk to the item. Phase 1 of every protocol uses only things most people already have at home and never contains product links.
Products are suggested only in Phase 2, for marks that survive first aid or fabrics that cannot be wet-cleaned. No brand can pay to be included, to be ranked higher, or to change our instructions. We do not accept free products in exchange for coverage.
How affiliate links are labelled
Every product card that contains affiliate links is marked "Ad / Affiliate Link", and the links themselves are marked as sponsored for search engines. A short notice at the top of each protocol page explains this before you reach any link.
If you buy through one of these links, Amazon pays us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to Amazon directly.
Advertising
SpotZero does not currently show display adverts. If we add them, they will be clearly labelled "Advertisement", kept out of the first-aid steps, and only switched on with the cookie consent required by law in your country.
Cookies and tracking
SpotZero itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. When you click an affiliate link and arrive on Amazon, Amazon may set its own cookies so the purchase can be credited to us. Those cookies are controlled by Amazon under its own privacy notice, and you can manage them in your browser.
We store a few small preferences on your device (your country edition and whether you have dismissed the "add to home screen" message). These stay on your device and are not used for tracking. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Your rights as a consumer
When you buy through an affiliate link, your contract is with Amazon or the third-party seller, not with SpotZero. Your statutory rights β returns, refunds, faulty goods β apply in full and are handled by the seller. In the UK these include your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; in the EU, usually a 14-day right to withdraw from online purchases.
Prices and availability are set by the retailer and can change at any time. Always check the product label is suitable for your fabric.
If you think something on SpotZero is misleading, tell us at support@spotzero.app and we will look at it promptly.
