Phase 1: Immediate first aid

   Blot & isolate

   Blot up as much as you can with a cold, damp cloth. Flush from the back with cold running water so it's pushed out the way it came in. On silk: press gently, never rub, and don't wring.

   Pantry pre-treatment

   5 ml wool wash or gentle shampoo+250 ml cold water

   🇦🇺Wool wash (e.g. Softly, Woolmix) or gentle shampoo

   Method

   Mix gently. Dab on with a white cloth, then press dry with a fresh one. Repeat little and often — on delicate fibers, patience beats pressure.

   Final flush & wash

   Rinse by gently swishing in cold water. Roll in a towel to remove water — never wring — and dry flat out of direct sun. If a mark remains, take it to a dry cleaner and tell them exactly what it is.
