Phase 1: Immediate first aid

Use what you have right now. Nothing to buy.

  1. Blot & isolate

Scrape off the solid chocolate with a blunt knife. If it's soft, chill it with ice first so it lifts cleanly.

  2. Pantry pre-treatment

    Method

Stir the soap into the water. Sponge onto the stain, blot, and repeat until nothing more transfers to your cloth.

Rinse with cold water, then wash on a synthetics cycle. Air-dry and check β€” synthetics hold oily residue that heat will set.

Phase 2: Deep restoration

If a faint shadow remains after the initial rinse, or for fabrics that cannot tolerate water agitation:

Residual ghost-ring or dry-clean-only fiber?
