Phase 1: Immediate first aid

Blot & isolate
Blot straight away with a dry white cloth to pull the liquid out. Then flush from the back with cool water.
Pantry pre-treatment
You need
15 ml White Vinegar (distilled)+5 ml Washing-up Liquid (e.g. Fairy)+500 ml cold water

Method
Mix together. Sponge onto the stain from the outside in, leave 10 minutes, then blot dry with a fresh cloth. Never mix vinegar with peroxide or bleach.
Final flush & wash
Rinse with lukewarm water, then wash on a synthetics cycle. Air-dry and check β synthetics hold oily residue that heat will set.
Phase 2: Deep restoration
If a faint shadow remains after the initial rinse, or for fabrics that cannot tolerate water agitation:
Residual ghost-ring or dry-clean-only fibre?
Normal washing often won't shift the last trace of a set-in stain. Treat it with a targeted spotter before it goes anywhere near tumble-dryer heat β heat locks in whatever is left.

Tannin spotter for wine, coffee, tea and tomato β breaks down the brown-yellow ring that pantry methods leave.
Apply a few drops with a cotton bud, tamp gently, then flush as the label directs. Patch-test first.
