Mix gently. Dab on with a white cloth, then press dry with a fresh one. Repeat little and often β on delicate fibres, patience beats pressure.
Final flush & wash
Rinse by gently swishing in cold water. Roll in a towel to remove water β never wring β and dry flat out of direct sun. If a mark remains, take it to a dry cleaner and tell them exactly what it is.
Phase 2: Deep restoration

Residual ghost-ring or dry-clean-only fibre?
Normal washing often won't shift the last trace of a set-in stain. Treat it with a targeted spotter before it goes anywhere near tumble-dryer heat β heat locks in whatever is left.
Alba-Tan
Tannin spotter for wine, coffee, tea and tomato β breaks down the brown-yellow ring that pantry methods leave.
Apply a few drops with a cotton bud, tamp gently, then flush as the label directs. Patch-test first.
- Vanish Oxi Action
Most oxygen stain removers aren't safe on silk, wool or leather β check the label, or go to a professional.
